Sarah, Kon-niti-wa!!
My grand mother used to use hot water bottles (Yutampo in Japanese), I don’t remember I tried it, though I used electric kind-of Yutampo (Denki-anka) sometimes then.
This New Year my family stayed at my pararents’-in-law. They lend us their Yutampo. They say they love Yutampo, because it is still warm till next morning. That was right!! I enjoyed its warmness next morning. Their house is very cold in winter, but my apartment is rather warm, so I don’t think I use Yutampo now.
Please don’t catch cold. You are living in very very cold place in Japan, but Gambattene!!
I should’ve said, Kon-nichi-wa.
Sorry…
Hello Junko!
Yay! Now I know what they are called!
Aren’t they so nice on a cold night?! We enjoy them, too.
Domo arigato gozaimashita!
