Peter Pan On A Cold, Rainy Day

It’s raining here in Coatesville – August and mere 58 degrees!
(Which I love – I’m a cooler-weather kinda girl, my favorite seasons being spring and fall.)

Anyways, being as it’s pouring outside, we’re indoors today and having a “Peter Pan Day”.

After breakfast (while I finished up dishes and folded laundry), the children are watching Disney’s Peter Pan.

When the movie is done, we’ll have coloring time using Peter Pan coloring pages I found online.

Tabitha enjoys“Dressing Up Tinkerbell” and wants to play again when the babies are napping.

Peter Pan
was always one of my favorite stories, and I have a very early copy of Peter and Wendy by JM Barrie.

Here’s something new I learned today: Barrie gave the copyright of the theater version of Peter Pan to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where the royalties are still benefiting the hospital today.

Later today, we may send Peter Pan greeting cards to the Grandmas and perhaps turn our Fisher Price Pirate set into Captain Hook’s ship.

We might even break out the plastic swords.
